Hello, I'm . . .

Paige Paxton

Graphic Designer & Printmaker

.

I am a graphic designer and printmaker with a passion for bold, expressive design that pushes the boundaries of typography and visual narration. My work often embraces grunge, gothic, and high-contrast aesthetics, blending dark and vibrant colors to create striking, dramatic compositions. Inspired by designers like David Carson, I aim to challenge traditional design norms and contribute to evolving visual communication, especially in the age of AI-driven creativity.

About Me

Hi again, I’m Paige Paxton—graphic designer, printmaker, and lover of grungy and gothic design.
My creative journey didn’t start in a classroom; it started with old album covers, scratched-up posters, and fonts that screamed louder than their words. That's what pulled me in.
Design, for me, isn’t just about making something look good. It’s about telling something, disrupting expectations, making people feel. I like to design between order and the unknown, layering dark colors against bright colors, blending clean lines with rough textures. Every design and print I create aims to deliver a punch with purpose.Inspired by designers like David Carson, I challenge traditional design norms, pushing the boundaries of typography and visuals, especially in a world increasingly shaped by AI-driven creativity. I believe design needs a human touch—raw, imperfect, emotional—and that’s exactly what I fight to preserve.Through my studies and hands-on work, I’ve sharpened my skills in both print and digital media, balancing creative instinct with technical precision. My process is messy, emotional, and nonlinear: starting with a feeling, sketching ideas, diving into research, and fearlessly breaking the "rules" along the way.Outside of design, I pull inspiration from music, film, and gaming. Whether I’m immersed in Glass Animals, the worlds of Fortnite, or the power of Marvel, these influences fuel my energy and expand the way I think visually.Looking ahead, I dream of working in the music industry—designing posters, album covers, and campaigns that fans want to hang on their walls. I want to create work that’s not just seen but felt, that becomes part of someone’s identity.
This isn’t just what I do. It’s who I am.
And I plan to keep making design and art—one badass poster at a time.
